Year 1

Welcome to Class 1!

Our class teacher is Mrs Lucas.

Mr Cordes teaches on a Friday.

Miss Marvin is our teaching assistant. Mrs Guyatt supports our year group with reading.

Welcome to Year One –

Each day, please make sure your child comes to school with:
☐ A water bottle
☐ School reading folder (no rucksacks please as we struggle for space to store them).

☐ Reading book and reading diary
☐ Suitable coat for the weather

Our PE days each week will be Monday and Wednesday mornings. Please come to school dressed for PE in school PE kit of white teeshirt and black shorts (no brand logos) with black plimsoles and black hoody.

Our homework will be given every Wednesday afternoon from Autumn 1 Week 2 and it will need to be handed in the following Tuesday.

Heart of the Week celebration dates will be on our newsletter and you will be contacted through an Arbor message to invite you to the assembly if your child receives Heart of the Week.

Wednesdays – Book changing day – Please leave your child’s reading book in their bag everyday. We send home a Little Wandle decodable reading book matched to your child’s reading ability and a reading for pleasure book to share with you. Please take good care of these and return them weekly so that another child may borrow that book.

You can log into Collins Hub e Big Cat books using your child’s login and password.

Please pre book school dinners through Arbor.

We are looking forward to your children transitioning from F2 to Year 1 with us!
