Year 2 is an exciting and important year where children continue to grow in confidence, independence and skill. As the final year of Key Stage 1, pupils develop greater fluency in reading, writing and maths, while building a deeper understanding across the wider curriculum. Children are encouraged to take more responsibility for their learning and to challenge themselves as their knowledge and skills increase. Year 2 is also full of memorable experiences, including leading the Key Stage 1 Nativity and taking part in exciting trips and visits that bring learning to life. With so much to enjoy, Year 2 is a happy, busy and rewarding year for everyone.
