Jen Owens is the Maths Leader at Sacred Heart and has a real passion for helping children enjoy and succeed in mathematics. Using the White Rose programme, she works to ensure children are challenged, confident and fluent, while developing problem-solving skills across a wide range of mathematical areas, not just number. We believe maths is for everyone and is best learnt in partnership with parents, as children develop their understanding through everyday experiences such as holidays, trips, cooking and budgeting. Our aim is for all children to grow into confident mathematicians who enjoy exploring the mathematical world and feel ready for daily life.
Maths
We follow White Rose Maths at Sacred Heart supplemented by other well know resources so we ensure our pupils needs are met in every lesson.
