Welcome

We offer a warm welcome to the Sacred Heart website. Visits from prospective families are warmly encouraged, allowing you to see and experience for yourself that what we describe and promise here is a true and living reflection of daily life in our school.

Anne-Marie Bell, our Headteacher would like to share:

It has been a privilege to begin my role as Sacred Heart Headteacher in September 2025.  This was my own primary school, as a child, and Sacred Heart Church, now the Parish of the Holy Family, is my home parish.  I am deeply excited about and committed to the journey ahead. Our ambition is to offer every child a truly special place where they can thrive academically, grow in confidence, and develop a positive, curious attitude to learning. We seek to nurture a community where all children are welcomed, valued and encouraged to be kind, following the example of Jesus, in all that they do. Through inclusivity, respect and care for one another, we aim to ensure our school is a place where every child can flourish.

Sacred Heart School information

Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School is a warm and welcoming one-form entry school located in Nottingham, within the Gedling Borough Council. With approximately 220 children on roll, the school is a close-knit, loving community where each child is known, valued, and nurtured. As part of the Holy Family parish, Sacred Heart School is situated just a short walk from Sacred Heart Church, enabling strong links with the parish and regular opportunities for shared worship and celebration.

The school takes pride in its strong Catholic ethos, placing Gospel values at the heart of daily life. Sacred Heart is a place where children grow in faith, learning, and friendship, celebrating key moments of the liturgical calendar together as a school and parish family.

Since September 2018, Sacred Heart has been a proud member of the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy Trust, part of the Diocese of Nottingham. Through its strong Catholic identity, supportive environment, and commitment to academic and spiritual growth, Sacred Heart continues to be a place where children thrive and community is cherished.
