All children from Foundation 2 to Year 6 are a member of one of our seven House groups. All of the House Groups are named after a saint and led by our class teachers. They are made up of a few children from each group, with siblings in the same House Group. House Groups are a way to break down barriers between year groups and encourage older children to look out for the younger ones. It also enables staff to get to know children in other classes and fosters a sense of family within school. We aim to have a House group meeting once a month and we use these sessions to cover some of our PHSE topics, such as Anti-Bullying and Healthy Eating. House Groups are also used to plan masses and charity events, enabling all children to be involved in the leadership and delivery of these events.
